Judge Crawford: 145-1
Judge Teachout: 137-7
Judge VanBenthuysen: 141-3
Judge Grearson: 143-2
It always surprises me that some legislators will vote No on a judge's retention even though there is no debate and nothing negative in that judge's survey results.
My guess is that one of the following could explain this behavior:
ReplyDelete1. The legislator has a constituent who has complained about the judge, and the legislator is placating that constituent.
2. Some people think there should never be unanimity.
3. Some people don't know what they are voting on.
